Resits
The Charter School policy on exam re-sits for Sixth Form students is now to charge £25 charge per subject. The rationale behind this decision is to ensure that students are able to manage their study time better and reduce costs incurred by the school when pupils fail to sit exams they are entered for. The process for being put forward to re-sit an exam is as follows:
1. Student requests to re-sit an exam and gains approval from the Subject Leader of their course.
2. The Subject Leader advises the Year Leader and Director of Learning, the Examinations Officer, and the Finance Officer.
No more than 2 re-sits can be scheduled unless permission is granted by the Director of Learning.
3. The student pays £25 per exam to the Finance Officer.
Failure to pay for the re-sits will result in being withdrawn from that exam.
If you are entered to re-sit an exam, your parents will get a letter to confirm this and the total fee payable.
