The Charter School

 

 

In June we held the first ever Ambition to Reality week for Year 12 students. All students attended workshops on various topics – interview skills, presentation and debating skills, CV writing, yoga and relaxation – to prepare them for a mock interview, where they had the chance to put into practise all the skills they learnt. The idea for this is to support students in their progression from college to either University, employment or other routes. Feedback from students was positive, most believing they had gained valuable new skills.

 

Some successful students who impressed both during the session and at interview were lucky enough to be invited to an evening rooftop party (see photo) at the prestigious riverside offices of SJ Berwin, the City law firm.

 

The Charter School would like to thank all those involved in the running of Ambition to Reality, especially Miss Paterson, Mrs Proctor and Miss Williams. A special thanks also goes to all our guest speakers whose efforts have been much appreciated!
