Cool It Schools!
At The Charter School we have been passionate about the environment since the school opened in 2000. As such we are always looking at ways to encourage our pupils and our wider community to consider the impact we all have on the environment.
When one of our parents suggested the idea of a global movement amongst school children to highlight the issue and that they could actually effect change. We jumped at the idea. We were the first school in the world to sign up for the project in December 2008 as it was being conceived.
Our first activity to support the effort will be the making of a large installation in our atrium during CRE8 Week at the end of July. This will be called - Some Like it Hot and it will be constructed by our pupils, with the help of our teachers, experts from the art and science world and students from the City and Guilds Arts College.
