Bronze Kit List

Bronze Kit List - not all is required to by bought by pupils.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award Practice - Kit List:
 
Individual Essentials:
  • Rucksack – approx 60 litres (must contain all of the other equipment) (some can be supplied by school)
  • Underwear (2 pairs)
  • Cotton or wool socks (2 pairs)
  • T-shirt (1 spare)
  • Tracksuit bottoms / Shorts (1 spare)
  • Sweatshirt (1 spare)
  • Fleece (1 spare)
  • Waterproof Jacket (and trousers)
  • Hat and gloves
  • Walking boots or robust leather trainers, Flipflops or sandals to wear around campsite,
  • Personal First Aid Kit (Blister plasters, Personal medication)  
  • Emergency procedure card
  • Washkit (Thin towel, Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper)
  • Rucksack liner (or binbag)
  • Sleepingbag + Sleeping mat
  • Water Bottle
  • Nightwear
  • Knife,Fork,Spoon, plate, bowl, mug
  • 2 x Packed Lunches
 
Optional Extras:
  • Torch
  • Watch
  • Coins for payphone
  • Notebook and pen
  • Emergency rations
  • Sunhat and Suncream
 
Group Equipment (must be carried between the group):
  • 1 tent per 3 people (supplied by school)
  • 2 Trangea Stoves (supplied by school)
  • 2 Survival Bags (supplied by school)
  • 2 Maps and 2 Compasses (supplied by school)
  • Routecards
  • Complete First Aid Kit
  • Plastic bags for litter
  • Matches
  • Sponge, washing up liquid, tea towel
  • Food for Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast
