Year 11 Visit Cambridge

Last Saturday I went to Cambridge University on a G&T Trip on the importance of A Level choices on your future, University and beyond. We travelled in a minibus and on arrival visited a local café across from King College. We had a massive breakfast and others had tea and cakes. We walked to the University and went into the lecture theatre to listen to a lecture on A Level choices. I found the lecture very interesting and the experience useful as it made me look further into my university choices. It also highlighted a few mistakes I made in choosing my A Levels.

On Saturday we visited Cambridge University for a talk called ‘The Subject Matters’. It was about which A Level choices would help progression to university. The talk as very informative, telling us which choices were the best if you wanted to keep your options open at university. The speakers also told us that, for example, you don’t have to study Law at university to be a Lawyer. It was definitely worth going. We got a bit of a look around Cambridge as well as useful information about A Levels and University courses and applications.
