Lille Trip

41 Year students enjoyed a lovely sunny day exploring Lille, France on Friday 9th December. Students visited the Old town with French guides before tasting Lille's speciality: the Meert waffle, which they thoroughly enjoyed. During the tour, students found out more about the main monuments (the Opera House, the Cathedral, the Palace), the architecture and the history of the City.

We then visited the Christmas market -one of the most popular in the country- where students bought presents and souvenirs from local craftspeople.
Pupils had the opportunity to practise their French skills as they discussed products and prices with the stall holders.

Everyone had a brilliant day."
