OTHER NEWS:
So far this academic year the Friends have donated:
£300 to steel pans
£2500 for the rowing machines
£500 to Duke of Edinburgh
· We have also raised a further £425 to the Grand Piano fund. In addition to this the Just Giving Grand for a Grand currently stands at £397 with a further £99.25 gift aid. We need a final push next week to raise the final monies that we need to pay for the piano so if people could show their support at the Little Shop of Horror's performances where the Friends will be running the bar and there will be a bucket rattle in aid of the piano fund. You can also donate via Just Giving – which is great if you are a UK taxpayer as we get the Gift Aid too! Here is the link. http://www.justgiving.com/grand4agrand
We will be holding a Comedy Night in May – date to be confirmed shortly.
We have a willing volunteer Chris Bradley who is donning the running shoes and doing the honours for us in the London Marathon, Just giving link to follow
Fundraising Objectives
This year will be raising funds for outdoor equipment; this will include more seating and outdoor activities. The seats, football tables and table tennis we currently have are in constant use so this will provide a great additional resource for all students at the school. We will also continue to assist with funding in the music department, sports purchases and the Duke of Edinburgh funding.
If you are interested in joining us, sharing ideas or just meeting other parents please do contact us on the friends email
