The Charter School

Friends Voluntary Gift Scheme

We have now set up a Friends Voluntary Gift Scheme. The purpose of the scheme is to supplement the fundraising we already do for the benefit of the students of The Charter School.
The Friends are a registered charity. We are very much involved in supporting the school by holding various social events. We also assist in school activities. Our aim is to raise funds that can be donated back to the school for provision of facilities or equipment not normally provided by the Local Education Authority.
We are aware that there are rising costs that parents and carers face for providing pupils with extra equipment, after-school clubs and activities.  With the wealth of talent demonstrated by the students in drama productions, exhibitions, music concerts and sports events, the Friends have received requests for funding which sadly we cannot meet.
We have come to the conclusion that with our charity status we are able to receive donations from parents and carers of the school, which will be eligible for Gift Aid, enabling donors to claim back a proportion of the tax.  This is more than 20% of the donation.  A donation form can be found by clicking here Voluntary Fund Form or you could contribute using the Just Giving website.   It is very easy to fill in a donation and the gift aid is taken care of by then.  This site will automatically
Here are some instructions you can use:

  1. Go to http://www.justgiving.com/tfotcs
  2. Press Donate
  3. Follow the instructions to pay

We must stress that donations will be used strictly for the benefit of the pupils of The Charter School and also that no one will but put under any pressure to donate.
We hope that parents will be supportive of this scheme and of the benefits it will bring to pupils of The Charter School.
