Final Score The Charter School 24 – 5 Kingsdale School.

The year 11 rugby team were magnificent in their performance, attitude and application during their first game of the year. A strong start resulted in an early try for forwards captain Henry Marling. This was followed by a terrific try from a Kingsdale year 10- pupil who ran almost 50metres from Huw Jones’ restart to make the scores level. The scrum was working, Oliver Henry was dictating play from scrum half and many phases of play almost ended with a great team try from Noah. Zane managed to drive over to score a decent try after concerted pressure and a strong defence from Kingsdale. Step up Ife Bakre. In the second half, again after a well-constructed move from the scrum to captain Huw Jones went left, then BOOM, Ife catches the ball almost in touch, dummies to go left and puts in an almighty step that left his opposite number on the floor and took TCS into a commanding lead.  Noah Daniel finished off proceedings with a fantastic try from the right wing running over twenty meters and managing to evade the plethora of tackles that came in. Huw slotted two conversions to ensure TCS went home as victors. Congratulations, three-cheers and hand shaking was the order of the captain and man of the match went to Jack Cameron for his relentless work in the break down. Well done gentlemen.  Mr C Smith.
